You all know that I love me some skincare, so I thought I would do a little update to share new products that I’m loving, as well as my long-time faves for those of you who are newer to APOE. Yay!

I have very sensitive skin. It’s oily, but dry. I am allergic to certain ingredients; anything with citrus will turn my face bright red and will burn until I wash it off. Perfumed products give me headaches. The only exfoliator that doesn’t make my skin agitated is a Clarisonic. Basically my skin is a hot mess, so I have to be very careful about what I’m putting on it.

The following products are what I’m currently using and loving. Although everyone’s skin is different, I hope these work well for you too!

The Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser is one of my favourite skincare discoveries. I don’t even know how many times I’ve bought it. The product is all natural, perfume free, effectively cleans your face, but doesn’t dry out your skin. It’s like no cleanser out there and my face loves me for it.

Clarisonic has probably been the longest running product in my skincare routine. Scrubs or chemical based exfoliants make my skin inflamed, but this little machine keeps my face perfectly happy. It also solved my acne problems. I use mine with the Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser mentioned above.

Left: The Caudalie Vinoperfect line just entered my life last week, but it’s a brand that I love (you will see lots from them in this post). The Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence was just added to the Caudalie lineup, so you might be seeing it here first! This is actually the first exfoliating toner that didn’t bother my skin. Made with Glyoclic Acid, I assumed that my face wouldn’t like it, but perhaps it’s in combination with the Rose Water that makes it quite soothing. If you’re looking for a non-manual exfoliant, this could be a good solution. The Radiance Serum feels wonderful after too.

Right: Skinceuticals! I love this brand. You will see a lot of them in this post too. The Hydrating B5 Gel is one of my two favourite Hyaluronic Acid products (the second coming below). If you haven’t tried Hyaluronic Acid yet, you need to ASAP. It’s the best moisturizer! The Hydrating B5 Masque is also a great alternative that can be used a few times a week at night and acts a super kick of magical Hyaluronic moisture.

The Caudalie VineActiv line might be my favourite one from the brand because it feels like a getting a facial at home. With the scent of essential oils, it feels like a trip to the spa. I use the eye cream twice a day and the serum feels like heaven (a luxury version of the other Hyaluronic serums). These products target fine lines, so definitely give it a try if that’s your concern. If you’re looking for hydration, I recommend the Caudalie Vinosource line mentioned below.

The Viva Organics Hyaluronic Acid Serum was the first one I tried still one of my favourites. With Hyaluronic Acid being the only active ingredient, it is likely the best thing for those of us with sensitive skin. I think it could make everyone’s face happy.

Left: If you have dry skin and you’re looking for a mask, the Caudalie Moisturizing Mask is potentially the one for you. I generally avoid clay masks because they dry out my skin, as well as gel masks which often have citrus that irritates my face. This particular mask goes on as a cream, is immensely soothing and will leave your skin hydrated and happy.

Right: I never thought that Smashbox Cosmetics would end up making a skincare product that I would love, but they do! Their Photo Finish Primer Oil is a blend of essential oils that feels wonderful on the face. I don’t actually use it as a primer, but will load up my face with it after a big day of wearing photohosot makeup.

The Caudalie Vinosource line is what you need if you’re looking for moisture. These products helped me through winter when it felt like nothing else could. I prefer the serum over the cream, but the cream is great for ensuring foundation goes on smoothly. The SOS Thirst Quenching Serum is key during the cold months!

Left: The 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream is all-natural moisturizing goodness for the whole body. I can’t stand the feeling of dry skin, so I put this on after every shower. I love that’s it’s natural and the vanilla smell is delightful (and doesn’t cause headaches).

Right: Caudalie Grape Water is made from 100% Organic Grape Water and is extremely hydrating and soothing. I spray it on my face throughout the day, as well as between steps in my skincare routine. It helps products go on easily and adds extra hydration. It’s also a great way to refresh in the summer.

Left: The Skinceuticals SPF 50 is one of my favourite facial sunscreens. It goes smoothly and feels like nothing!

Right: Glo Minerals The Mint Balm is my favourite lip balm! It’s a fatty stick, so putting it on looks kind of weird, but the product works wonderfully. It’s only slightly minty, so you don’t get that red mouth isssue like other menthol balms.

There you go!!! These are ALL of my current favourite products!! What are yours? Let me know in the comments, so I can give them a try.
