We had a blast shooting these photos. I think it was a combination of the headscarf that we could throw around (note Alana’s creative editing) and the flowing dress in the second outfit that had me twirling and laughing like a child. Well, up until we were kicked off stairs of the Union Club because it was “private property”. That was a mood kill.

Nevertheless, I love these two outfits that comprise the second part of my “Outfits for Every Occasion” segment with Bernstein & Gold. Details about the boutique and their recently launched online store can be found in the first blog post here.

Many thanks to Carly Flint for the fabulous makeup as per usual.

“If you wake up feeling like Samantha Jones”

I hope you all know about Samantha Jones. She is fun, fabulous and also a little scandalous, which is also how I would describe this outfit.

I have been obsessed with this DVF smoking jacket (on sale here) ever since I saw it in Bernstein & Gold. The length and cut of the neckline are perfect. I’ve always wanted to wear a headscarf, but it makes such a statement that I’ve never really had the courage to rock one before. Luckily, the older I get the more comfortable I am with standing out, so I’m all about this Malene Birger scarf!

“If you want to go out dancing (or twirling if you’re being specific)”

I love layering and this scarlet top from Malene Birger is the perfect piece to slip under anything for spring. The fabric is a beautiful crepe silk with lightly frayed hems. It’s a dreamy layering situation when worn under this Malene Birger dress. The bias cut alow the dress to drape beautifully making twirling more fun than ever. Worn with these Pour La Victoire leopard heels and you have the perfect look for a party.
