I posted a picture of this outfit on Instagram yesterday and one of my super cool followers said I looked like Paddington Bear! Best. Comment. Ever. I had completely forgotten about him, but the jacket, hat and backpack combo kinda brought him back to life (except he had a suitcase). Either way, he’s a special little dude.
I know it’s New Years Eve and this post should probably include some form of a New Years outfit, but let’s be honest, I’m not that organized. Instead, I’m sharing with you this cozy look I shot with my baby sister in Chinatown. Canada’s oldest China town, to be exact. It’s cool, trust me.
Anyways, I have a lot to be thankful for in 2014: a wonderful family, finishing University, living in a city that I love, having super awesome friends…the list goes on and on. But there’s one very important thing that was created this year and that’s “A Piece Of Elise”. Being able to do something productive with my fashion obsession was something that I always dreamed of. To watch A Piece Of Elise grow from this scary idea deep inside me, to a real life “thing” means more to me than you can probably imagine. Each day when I wake up and have something new to blog about, it’s exciting and makes me feel complete (except for the odd outfit meltdown, when I just can’t get it right). All in all, I am so grateful to be able to add this blog to the list of wonderful things I have in my life.
Before I go, I would like to say a big thank you. Without you (any of you who are reading this) A Piece Of Elise wouldn’t be anything. For this reason, even if you’ve never met me, you are important to me. This blog is a something special to me and something that I work hard at. For this reason, your support is oh-so-important. So thank you, thank you and thank you.
Happy New Year, everyone! Go hug someone special.
