October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and RETHINK breast cancer is back which all kinds of great initiatives and ways to support their movement to empower young people affected by the disease. The Canadian Cancer Society has found that one in nine women is expected to develop breast cancer in her lifetime, so it really is an illness that we should all have some knowledge of and be open to talking about. This is what RETHINK is all about.
It’s the 50th anniversary of the Levi’s Trucker Jacket! To celebrate the occasion, Levi’s has teamed up with another equally iconic brand, The Hudson’s Bay Company, to line the jacket with their classic stripes. I gotta say, I’m pretty obsessed. There’s something seriously cool about the oversized fit of the jacket and the striped lining makes it wonderfully cozy for fall. I also love to pop the collar because there are some stripes under there too.
So we all know that I’m obsessed with silk. I would live in it if I could (hence the pajama brand). Nothing drapes as beautifully as a silk shirt, dress or trouser, or feels as soft against the skin. I know I sound a bit crazy, but I’m slowly converting everyone that is close to me, as well as all those ÉLISE shoppers out there too.
The main issue that those around me seem to have with silk is that they can’t throw it in the washing machine. We don’t want to spend money on dry cleaning, we don’t have the time to take it to the shop and the chemicals aren’t good for us or the environment. I get it. I don’t want to deal with that either, so I wanted to share a neat product with you guys that I recently discovered.
