We all know that I love local designers and try my best to support them. I’ve said it so many times on the blog that there’s something extra special about buying an item that someone has poured their heart into versus a random fast fashion piece from the mall. Ironing Silk with Pressurized Steam

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with silk. I created a whole pajama brand made exclusively from the fabric! In addition to ÉLISE, my wardrobe is also almost entirely silk – it’s just so beautiful, breathable and drapes like nothing else out there. I’m addicted. The only downside to the fabric is that it creases really easily. Given that it’s pretty much all I wear, you can probably imagine how much time I spend steaming it. Add in the various ÉLISE pop-up shops and private events around the city and sometimes I find myself steaming for almost four hours straight to make sure each set is looking perfect on the rack. Yup, I’m the steam queen!

What To Wear Snowboarding

It’s snowboard season and I’m very stoked about it! As far as I’m concerned half of boarding is looking cool (lol), so I’m all about a good outfit for a trip to the mountain. Having said that, you really can’t sacrifice quality and practicality when it comes to boarding or you will end up uncomfortable, cold and probably hanging out in the lodge instead of actually enjoying the slopes. At least that’s what I do when I don’t have the right gear.
