Although I love clothes (duh), I have never been good at accessorizing, so I have taken it upon myself to start accessorizing better. About 3 years ago I started wearing watches, then I got more into shoes and now I’m going for the jewelry. I think I’ll be loving it in no time – this outfit is a great example of how accessories can be used to make a statement while wearing something simple like jeans and a t-shirt.
From my (somewhat limited) experience, good jewelry can be hard to find. I am really not into the “cheap” stuff because it changes colour before you know it and stains your skin too. Having said that, I can’t afford to be buying everything made from precous/semi-precious metal and stones. Although every girl needs a few diamond and gold staples, it doesn’t make sense for all of us to spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on those more trend oriented items.
I have heard about Stella & Dot before (mostly from mum’s), but it wasn’t until I actually got on the site and started looking that I realized it was actually pretty cool. With items ranging from $50-$100 that are good enough quality to wear again and again, but still not so expensive that you have to think too much about it, I realized that this could be my go-to jewelry shop for some fun new pieces each season.
This outfit is filled with some of the fun pieces I ordered from Stella & Dot (aside from the long lariat necklace which is Lisbeth). The mix & match layering tactic is a great way to get many looks out of a few different pieces. What do you guys think? I need some accessorizing constructive criticism because it’s all pretty new to me.
I would like to disclose that I will be receiving commission if you do choose to order from Stella & Dot. I need to pay the bills somehow and putting together blog posts actually takes quite a bit of time, so I would appreciate you using the links in this post if it does inspire you to purchase. Thank you in advance!
Stay tuned for lots more Stella & Dot coming soon. xE
