My mother is a doctor, so I grew up constantly being reminded to put on sunscreen. In the end, my mum’s training proved effective because I ended up becoming the queen of sun protection. Imagine a person at the beach hiding under an umbrella with a huge sunhat on.

Because of my obsessive need to protect my face from the rays of wrinkle doom, it seemed a natural fit to partner with Miracle 10 to try their Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30, as well as their Retinol Treatment 30. As a Toronto based company, with all products made locally and without parabens or fragrances, Miracle 10 is exactly the type of business that I’d like to support.

It’s safe to say that I’ve had a few woes when it comes to finding the right sunscreen for my face. I’ve tried countless products and they all tend to feel super greasy, clog my pores, look shiny or turn my skin white. With this in mind, I was very pleasantly surprised when I put on Miracle 10’s Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 and felt nothing. This is probably the only time that a review of “zero results” will be considered a positive one, but in the case of sunscreen it’s the result that I’ve been looking for. It also seems to be a seriously good makeup primer. I will definitely be buying a replacement bottle when this one runs out.

Along with the Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30, I have also been using Miracle 10’s Retinol Treatment 30. I have been noticing a decrease in the hormonal acne that I get along my jawline which has been very tricky to treat. I have skin that is very sensitive to dryness, so instead of putting the treatment all over my face, I simply apply it to the problem areas. I have been reading that it can take months to see the full results of using Retinol, so I’ll check back with you again, but so far so good!

With the holidays fast approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about gifts and as unconventional as it may seem, I think sunscreen makes a pretty great present! Especially if it’s in Miracle 10‘s pretty white and pink bottle. It is actually quite a logical gift in that everyone can benefit from sunscreen and it’s applicable to all skin types. I honestly can’t think of another skincare product that’s so easy to give!

For the next five days, use code ‘ELISE25’ for 25% OFF your order on the Miracle 10 website. Offer valid until Monday, December 12th at 8am PST. I think I’ll be giving the gift of sun protected skin to my sisters this year! Have I inspired you to start wearing sunscreen? Let me know in the comments!

Many thanks to Miracle 10 for partnering on this post. Although it was sponsored, all opinions are my own. I also ate all the macarons.
