Big news, friends! Thailand’s virtual fashion world was taken to the next level this week with the launch of the “Thai Designers” section from Zalora Thailand. Basically, we can now shop the who’s who of Thai designers while seated in our silk bathrobes, waiting for our nails to dry and drinking a mimosa. Or more realistically, eating microwave popcorn, crying over Desperate Housewives, wearing probably no pants, but a really big Heineken graphic tee we got for free at the liquor store. Either way, it’s all good.
Here are the 12 designers that can now be shopped via Zalora Thailand: (and yes, Curated by Ek Thongprasert IS there!!!)
Something Boudoir Curated
I was able to join Zalora for the launch of their new designer section this past Monday. It was held at the St. Regis and included a little preview from each of the 12 designers. It was the first time I had seen these famous Thai designers modeled at the same time, side by side. It was really neat to see all the ways each brand was unique, but also how they worked together to create a harmonious picture of what the Thai fashion industry is all about. I also saw all the designers out drinking wine together after the party, so clearly they’re all friends – how cute is that?!
I would like to congratulate Zalora on creating such a fun new platform for online shopping. Now let’s see if I am still happy when I get my next bank statement.
Here’s the outfit that I wore to the event. The top is from brand new “The Zalora Label“, which has some super cute pieces at completely affordable prices. I’m also wearing a clutch from the FlyNowIII, available in Siam Centre or pretty much any other shopping mall in this country.
Sorry for the tired eyes, school has taken its toll. Also, I hope you like the photos from the event. They were the best I could do in a crowded room with a 50mm lens, so small pieces of people was all I got.
